As a figurative surrealist painter, I explore themes of symbolism, the metaphysical, and feminism through small-scale acrylic and mixed media pieces on wood. Using wood as a substrate introduces a natural element which becomes part of the composition, and acts a construction material to introduce 3D elements such as glass beading, nails, or crystals. Having received a degree in Industrial Design in 2000, I made the switch to a visual artist in 2020 and a life-long practice became a full-time career. Transitional pieces show a strong geometric influence from decades of 2D and 3D drafting and modeling, and as my work has progressed, more natural elements are introduced, becoming softer and more dream-like. My goal is to create beautiful paintings that are both metaphors of our lives and represent the filters we all see our worlds through.

I welcome private commissions or portraits, so please contact me directly to discuss.

Also, custom framing before shipping any print is always an option.
